We have been elevating our solutions since 2009

In the mid-1950s, Franco Antonelli, who was born in 1938, began working in the lift and stair lift sector. It took him years of hands-on experience to develop the idea of creating an elevator that could adapt to any installation requirement, significantly reduce consumption and produce the energy needed for its own operation.

This vision took shape with the development of innovative technologies and the foundation in 2009 of A.R.E. Srl, a cutting-edge, internationally successful industrial company specialised in the manufacture of 100% Made in Italy energy-saving lifts and home lifts.

Our history

2024

ARE develops its innovative, patented SOL-ARE technology to optimise lift battery recharging with photovoltaic panels that harness solar energy. After 15 years of success on the national and international market, the company needs to expand and move to larger premises.

2020

ARE launches on the market its innovative ZEN-0 electric lift that offers the sector a unique level of energy performance, thanks to its energy-recovery system developed with ARE SMART-POWER technology.

2010

ARE launches on the market its MINIWATT model, a mini home lift with no cabin walls developed with ARE SMART POWER technology. This is an ideal solution for any environment in which traditional lifts cannot be installed because there is not enough space.

2009

Franco founds A.R.E. Srl. In the same year, the company’s first model is launched on the market. This is MANGUSTA, a battery-powered, energy saving home lift developed with innovative ARE SMART POWER technology.

2003

Antonelli introduces an important innovation to the sector: the use of normal lead-acid batteries for powering lifts.

1995

To help people with reduced mobility in their daily lives, Franco Antonelli develops a technology that enables home lifts to travel runs of more than 4 metres.
